Facilities and Inclusions
We cater for children from 0 to school age. We have two rooms, the Blossoms room for the babies up to 3 years old and the Gumnut room for the 3 to school age chilren.
We open at 7am and close at 6pm, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks per year. We do not operate on public holidays and we close for 2 weeks over the Christmas, New Years break.
Yes, we cook a full menu of balanced nutritous meals for the whole day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a light supper. The menus are in the kitchen and in the app for you to see what your children were offered during the day.
No, because some children train quicker that others and to keep fees down, we ask parents of children still in nappies to pack enough for your child each day. We do keep an emergency stock however for those mornings when it just doesn’t come together. We only ask that if this stock is dipped into, that it be replenished.
Yes, as there are many types of formulas, foods, etc. we do not supply these, however, we will make sure any special foods you pack for your child are served to them at the right time, temperature etc. Ask Cheryl how this works when you come in.
Every child enrolled at Bush Babies Preschool has an individually tailored developmental program maintained. As part of this program the older Gumnuts have special school readiness activities programmed and a special school report prepared to ensure the best transition to “Big School”.
Yes, Bush Babies Childcare is affiliated with many support agencies and can co-ordinate special activities and support for your child and you if required. Just discuss your needs with Cheryl when you come in.

New Parent Info
All information about your child day is recorded and displayed in your child profile in the KinderM8 app. You can check this any time you like throughout the day to see what you child is up to, how much they have eaten and how long they slept.
As this needs to be a coordinated effort both here and at home, we have a special program to help make this time as easy as possible. Just ask Cheryl to explain when you come in.
When your child starts at Bush Babies, we’ll provide you with a full welcome pack outlining everything you need to know. In the meantime, here’s a helpful guide to get you started:
- A sun-safe hat that covers your child’s face, neck, and ears
- At lease one change of clothes – our days are filled with hands-on, play-based learning, so a little mess is part of the fun!
- A comfort item (if needed), such as a special toy or blanket
- A sheet set or blanket for rest time
- Bottles, if your child uses them
- Expressed milk or formula, if required
- Any medications your child needs – please hand these directly to staff.
We have clear processes in place for managing both short- and long-term medications, as well as supporting children with medical conditions. Please have a chat with our educators so we can work together to ensure your child’s needs are met.

Enrolment Process
Please fill out this form to get on the waitlist. Once you have done this, please feel free to give us a call to ask any other questions you might have or organise a tour of the centre.
Fees and rebates
Fees vary from centre to centre and are also dependent on things such as the number of days your child attends, the age of your child, as well as your eligibility for any government subsidies. If you want to know how much your fees will be after the government subsidy, please have a look at the Child Care Subsidy estimator.
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a government payment that helps families with the cost of approved childcare. The amount you receive depends on factors such as your family’s income, the number of hours you work or study, and the type of childcare you use.
At Bush Babies Childcare, we are an approved CCS provider. This means your eligible subsidy is automatically applied to your fees, so you only need to pay the gap.
To apply for CCS, you’ll need to:
- Create a myGov account (if you don’t already have one).
- Link it to Centrelink.
- Submit a CCS application through your myGov account.
- Confirm your child’s enrolment with us through Centrelink.
